The City of Saint John is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Municipal Engineer- Infrastructure Development with the City’s One Stop Development Shop. The incumbent will review and approve municipal servicing plans, drainage systems and utility installations for the full range of new development. Additionally, the incumbent will provide client-focused, quality, cost-effective professional engineering support and project management related to construction, operation and maintenance of water, wastewater, storm drainage and transportation systems and sustainability of municipal infrastructure. You will be part of a technical team responsible for formulating engineering solutions, providing direction to technical support staff, engineering consultants, developers and contractors while supervising municipal development.

Essential Qualifications
  • University degree in civil engineering.
  • Professional Engineer and eligible for registration with APEGNB.

  • Experience in a construction, consulting or municipal environment is ideal.
  • The successful applicant may be eligible to participate in a Flexible Time Options Program including the option of working a 4 or 5-day work week, subject to business requirements.
