MPE, a division of Englobe, is seeking a Municipal Engineer to join our team in our Edmonton office.

Your Contribution

  • Oversee and manage municipal engineering projects from inception through completion
  • Perform design, construction site inspections, and contract administration duties
  • Develop and review engineering design drawings, specifications, and contract documents
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with project specifications and standards
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success
  • Coordinate designs and construction inspections with multiple disciplines
  • Provide mentorship and support to junior engineers and technologists

Your Profile

  • B.Sc. in Civil Engineering and membership with APEGA
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in municipal engineering, with a strong preference for candidates with hands-on experience in construction observation and contract administration
  • Working knowledge of water and wastewater distribution and collection systems
  • Proficiency in computer software for modelling and spreadsheet analysis
  • Demonstrated aptitude for general construction methods
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of municipal infrastructure projects
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team atmosphere
  • Self-motivated with leadership potential
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Typical Projects:

  • Replacement and upgrade of underground water, sewer, and stormwater infrastructure
  • Development of water treatment and pumping facilities
  • Wastewater collection, pumping, and treatment facilities
  • Infrastructure assessments and studies
