Job summary

Vancouver Island Health Authority (Campbell River) seeks a Social Worker to provide client-centered assessment, intervention and referral within the Campbell River Mental Health & Addiction Services team. You will work with clients and families facing barriers to care as part of a multidisciplinary group.

Under the Coordinator's direction, you will assess, intervene and refer to services, with possible travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Social Work degree from a recognized university.
• Current full registration with the BC College of Social Workers.
• Post-degree preparation in care for the seriously and persistently mentally ill and/or significant substance use.
• Two (2) years' recent, related experience or equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, intervention and referral for clients and families.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary health care team to address barriers to care.
• Travel between multiple sites may be required; provide client-centered care.
