Vancouver Island Health Authority Campbell River Primary Care Network seeks a Health Consultant to provide advanced clinical interventions for mental health, substance use, and concurrent disorders within designated PCN clinics in Campbell River, BC. You will work with primary care teams to assess, plan and coordinate care.

The role requires a Master's in a health-related field, 2+ years of related experience, and knowledge of relevant acts.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a health-related discipline from an approved post-secondary institution.
• Minimum of two years of recent related experience with crisis intervention and short-term therapy.
• Knowledge of Mental Health Act and Adult Guardianship Act; experience with primary care providers.
• Valid BC Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced clinical practice for intake, assessment, crisis intervention, education, and referral.
• Consult with primary care providers and refer to community resources for psychosocial needs.
• Deliver harm-reduction services in a trauma-informed framework and coordinate care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across Campbell River PCN clinics.
