As the Multi Skilled Worker, you are responsible for assisting with providing a welcoming environment for our residents, employees, and visitors through a variety of support duties.

Responsibilities
  • Provide attentive table service to residents during meal times.
  • Perform laundry services, ensuring cleanliness and proper handling of residents' garments.
  • Remove garbage promptly and maintain sanitary waste disposal practices.
  • Deliver supplies and meals efficiently to designated areas or residents.
  • Conduct enhanced and thorough cleaning of high-touch surfaces to maintain hygiene standards.
  • Engage in meaningful social interaction with residents to promote emotional well-being.
  • Ensure residents live in a secure environment by patrolling the building, investigating unauthorized access, and reporting violations appropriately.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety rules and procedures.
  • Submit detailed written reports of hazards, incidents, near misses, and workplace injuries to the manager.
  • Follow established infection control practices to prevent the spread of illness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the operational needs of the facility.
  • Serves as the primary contact for residents, team members and emergency services in security related matters during night shifts if applicable.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Food Safe certificate is required
  • Experience in an aging adults setting is an asset
  • Completion of Highschool Diploma is an asset
  • Completion of CPR and First Aid is an asset
  • Superior organizational skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with peers, residents, visitors and operational partners
  • Superior oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to prioritize and problem solve
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, bend, squat, kneel and lift over 20 pounds
