Job description
Position Summary

We are currently recruiting for a Multi-Lines Claims Adjuster to join our team in Dartmouth, NS, Canada. The successful candidate will evaluate claims through loss investigation and negotiate settlements in accordance with provincial licensing requirements, while maintaining adequate production levels and customer relationships. We offer a hybrid work set-up for this position and regular travel to loss locations throughout the territory is expected.

Responsibilities
  • Reviews and analyzes experts’ reports
  • Selects and directs independent experts
  • Identifies and pursues subrogation opportunities
  • Secures and manages litigation disposition plans and budgets
  • Detailed recording of file activities and transactions in both Crawford and Company and client-based systems
  • Maintains accurate expense accounts
  • Work with manager to maintain client relation
  • Ability to liaise and work with all facets of the insurance community including brokers, risk managers, legal counsel and regulators
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years functional and technical experience in an insurance environment
  • Post Secondary education in an insurance related field considered an asset
  • Full independent adjusting license or working towards CIP designation
  • Experience in road adjusting including the investigation and detailed reporting of both property and casualty claims
  • Working knowledge of Xactimate and XactAnalysis required
  • Computer and reporting skills including Office 365 and Windows 10
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Bilingual in French would be considered an asset
  • Must be a team player with outstanding customer service skills
  • Willingness to work in a dynamic environment with opportunity for career growth
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Valid driver's license is required
