Job summary

General Magic in Toronto is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to own features end to end across frontend, backend, data models, APIs, and the infrastructure. You’ll work directly with the founders in a flat team, shipping to production weekly and shaping what gets built rather than following a fixed spec.

The role rewards ownership, flexibility, and a base salary of 120k+ CAD with equity, plus health benefits and conference allowances.

MTS: Full Stack Engineer

Own the product brokers and their customers touch every day, front to back.

About the role

Insurance-specific AI built for brokerages. A full team of AI agents handles customer service, underwriting, and quoting within a single connected system. We're building the infrastructure to run an insurance business at full capacity: more policies serviced, more quotes out the door, better margins on both.

We're hiring a Fullstack Engineer to own features end to end. Frontend, backend, data models, APIs, the infrastructure underneath. You take things from idea to shipped without someone standing over you. We're a flat team. Everyone owns their own pieces and comes together to connect them. We don't hand you a spec to execute. We expect you to think, push back, and shape what gets built. You'll work directly with the founders.

What you’ll be doing

• You work across the full app: frontend, backend, and the architecture holding them together. You can pick up someone else's work and carry it forward instead of stalling where the pieces meet.
• Build the surfaces brokers actually work in, plus the customer-facing channels our agents run on, including messaging platforms like iMessage and SMS.
• Own your infrastructure. Define it in code, ship it, and keep it running.
• Ship to production every week and own the quality of what customers experience.
