About the team and role :
We are the eBay B2C Core Listing Tool & System Team! We are seeking an MTS Frontend Software Engineer to join us in Toronto.
We build groundbreaking large-scale internet applications used by millions of business sellers worldwide, driving impactful changes on one of the world's largest internet properties. These applications help sellers onboard, manage, and grow their businesses on eBay's global marketplace.
In this role, you will contribute to the core of eBay's selling experience, delivering an engaging experience for over 25 million sellers across 22 nations, generating billions in revenue quarterly. Performance, reliability, scalability, and accuracy are paramount, as this area is at the top of eBay's e-commerce ecosystem.
What you will accomplish :
Estimate engineering effort, plan implementation, and roll out system changes. Identify technical risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
Address accessibility issues and ensure compliance standards, including web accessibility testing and tools.
What you will bring :
Proficiency in Ajax and web template technologies, with expert-level skills in server-side web application development, data structures, and algorithms.
Knowledge of automation testing tools and experience writing automation tests for unit, component, and UI visual testing.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, and experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and Git.
Additional experience with GraphQL and REST APIs, full-stack engineering skills, and prior software engineering experience in the e-commerce industry are a plus!
