Job description

Job Description:

  • Developing integration applications that meet business requirements and goals, while maintaining information integrity across all systems and adhering to standards and best practices.
  • Designing, developing, documenting, installing, and configuring integration applications within the provincial Integration Engine (MS BizTalk) environment.
  • Working with various stakeholders (Business Teams, Project Managers, Project Teams, etc.) to ensure successful solution implementation.
  • Completing all assigned development and maintenance tasks (service requests, releases, incidents, problems, documentation, etc.).
  • Monitoring, performance-tuning, and troubleshooting application and environment issues to meet high system availability standards.
  • Working directly with customers to define requirements and present solutions.
  • Guiding development using BizTalk products and other technologies to build integrations supporting business needs.
  • Managing technical scope and client expectations.
  • Ensuring alignment with the client Systems Integration Services team.
  • Producing solution documentation following client templates.
  • Analyzing existing solutions and updating or creating documentation.
  • Reviewing solutions developed and transferring knowledge to the client team.
  • Signing a non-disclosure agreement and completing Privacy and Security training prior to starting.

Mandate Requirements:

  • Candidate must demonstrate the following mandatory requirements:
  • A university degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related discipline, or certification in IT from a recognized community college.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Yes/No
  • A minimum of five (5) years of IM/IT experience.
  • At least three (3) years experience developing integration solutions with MS BizTalk Server.
  • Proposals not demonstrating these mandatory requirements will be disqualified.

Scored Requirements:

  • Experience developing integration solutions with Microsoft BizTalk 2013/2016/2020.
  • Experience with integration solutions involving web services/APIs, File/FTP interactions, Database interactions, workflows, and secure authentication mechanisms. Include details of roles and responsibilities, specific BizTalk versions used, scope, systems integrated, and your responsibilities.
  • Experience working with business and technical SMEs on requirements elicitation and process definition.
  • Details on communication methods, information-seeking approaches, deliverables generated, and analysis performed for designing and enhancing solutions.
  • Experience with programming languages such as C#, .NET, XML, and XSLT, with details on experience duration.
  • Experience developing HL7 v2x interfaces with BizTalk 2013/2016/2020 (asset), including project roles and responsibilities.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Integration Services (asset), including Azure Logic Apps, Service Bus, Functions, or API Management, with details on scope and responsibilities.

Project Reference:

  • Experience migrating on-premises BizTalk solutions to an iPaaS environment (asset). Include details on BizTalk versions, iPaaS solutions, roles, and responsibilities.
