Job summary

Southlake Health in Newmarket, ON, is seeking an MRIT-MRI Technologist to join the patient care team. In collaboration with other health professionals you will apply your MRI expertise to deliver high-quality imaging and patient care.

The role requires a diploma in Medical Radiation Technology, CMRTO MR registration, OAMRS membership, and 3–5 years MRI experience. A strong focus on safety, anatomy knowledge, and teamwork is essential; a 3 Tesla MRI experience is an asset.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Medical Radiation Technology from an accredited educational institution.
• Registered with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario, CMRTO with specialization in Magnetic Resonance Imaging, MRT. (MR)
• Member of the Ontario Association of Medical Radiation Sciences (OAMRS)
• 3-5 years MRI experience preferred
• Safety awareness, including MR safety
• 3 Tesla MRI experience considered an asset
• Excellent knowledge of cross sectional anatomy
• Competent in injecting contrast and inserting IVs is required
• Point of Care Creatinine iStat training an asset
• Central Venous Access training through SOLs an asset
• Demonstrated ongoing continuing education
• Demonstrates excellence in communication, both written and verbal
• Demonstrated problem assessment skills
• Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork
• Models behaviour that is aligned with the values of Southlake Health.
