Georgian Bay General Hospital in Midland, Ontario, is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. You will perform MRI scans, prepare patients, and maintain image quality while following safety protocols.

This full-time role supports seamless departmental operations with radiologists and the broader care team. The successful candidate will hold CMRITO registration, MRI certification, and 1–2 years of experience, with strong communication and collaborative abilities.

Qualifications

• Registered with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
• Certification in MRI from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist preferred.
• Strong technical skills and knowledge of MRI equipment and procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Commitment to patient care and safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI scans following physician orders and protocols.
• Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Operate MRI equipment and adjust settings for optimal images.
• Review images for quality and diagnostic use.
• Maintain accurate patient records and document procedures.
• Ensure safety standards and patient screening adherence.
• Provide patient education about MRI procedures.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team on findings and follow-up actions.
• Engage in continuing education and training to stay current with MRI tech.
• Participate in internal and external audits.
• Assist with training of new staff.
