Job summary

Kingston Health Sciences Centre is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform scans across KHSC sites and adjacent locations. You will screen patients for safety, position patients, and handle a variety of MRI procedures including neuro, MSK, abdominal-pelvic, breast imaging, and cardiac studies.

This role supports timely, accurate imaging and patient care across a rotating shift schedule. The ideal candidate holds a Graduate Certificate in MRI Technology, CMRTIO registration, and is proficient with

Qualifications

• Graduate certificate in MRI Technology.
• Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
• Proficiency with MRI equipment, coils, and power injectors.
• Experience with HIS/RIS and PACS systems.
• Certification and competence in contrast media injections.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism.
• Clear criminal reference and vulnerable sector check.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI scans across KHSC sites and off-site locations.
• Screen individuals prior to entering the magnetic field for safety.
• Coordinate patient positioning and transfers with sterile technique.
• Conduct neuro, MSK, abdominal-pelvic, breast imaging, cardiac, and sedation MRI procedures.
• Document and forward imaging cases to PACS for radiologist review.
• Coordinate emergent or priority procedures and manage magnet workflow.
• Adhere to KHSC safety policies and OHSA responsibilities.
• Report and help resolve hazards or unsafe situations.
• Support return-to-work processes after workplace injury.
