Job summary

Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie, Ontario is seeking a Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist to join the Medical Imaging team. You will perform MRI examinations as prescribed, collaborate with Pacemaker and Anesthesia teams, and support multidisciplinary patient care for diverse imaging needs.

The role emphasizes professional growth, patient-centered care, and participation in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited MRI program.
  • Registered in good standing with College of Medical Radiation & Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
  • Completion of a Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) program.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all required MRI examinations as prescribed by physicians in accordance with relevant protocols and procedures.
  • Maintain strong team environment amongst MRI technologists and Imaging Nursing Team.
  • Perform a large variety of MRI specialty procedures including cardiac imaging and breast biopsies.
  • Collaborate with the Pacemaker Clinic to perform MRI exams on patients with MRI conditional pacemakers.
  • Coordinate with the Anesthesia team to provide MRI access to young children and patients with special needs.
  • Perform MRI studies to assist radiation therapy planning.

Qualifications
