Come and join our global team as a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Collaboration Scientist to maintain academic, clinical and technical expertise – collaborating both with internal development teams and research partners for the development, comprehensive evaluation, and testing of ultra-high field MRI. This role will be working as an on-site scientist serving collaboration activities at the Centre for Functional and Metabolic Mapping (CFMM) at Western University in London, Ontario, Canada, primarily covering 7T MRI topics however also covering general Siemens MRI collaboration topics at the site. This is a 2-year term to Dec 31 2027, renewable.

As an MRI Collaboration Scientist, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing 3T and 7T MRI research and development support to the CFMM and collaborating London Academic Hospitals
  • Participating in academic and clinical research at/and for, the CFMM
  • Developing new MRI techniques and algorithms
  • Providing logistical support to research customers including negotiation and maintenance of project agreements
  • Performing regular quality testing
  • Managing and maintaining C2Ps and WIPs

Required skills to have for the success of this role:

  • PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Physics, Imaging Physics or equivalent
  • Experience and expertise in ultra-high field MRI physics, techniques and clinical applications, ideally at 7 T on the Siemens platform
  • Certified in software programming, design and application development
  • Expertise with MATLAB and Python for signal and image processing, ideally including segmentation and registration (experience programming with Julia is preferred but not required)
  • Expertise in MRI system vendor pulse sequence programming and image reconstruction tools, ideally on the Siemens platform
  • Outstanding writing presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize work
  • Ability to multi-task and follow through
  • Detail-oriented and organized

The Annual Base Pay For This Position Is

Min $90,000 - Max 140,000

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Position must have full access to Siemens Healthineers' client sites to perform the essential functions of this position. Many clients require Siemens Healthineers employees and representatives to meet certain Vendor Credentialing requirements before they will be allowed to have access to their sites. Unless prohibited by law, position must meet all Vendor Credentialing requirements necessary to have full client access and must continue to meet those requirements during the course of employment in this position. These requirements vary by client and may include, but are not limited to: Proof of valid identification (photo, driver's license, SSN) Criminal background checks Drug screens Immunizations (COVID-19, Hep B, MMR, Varicella, Influenza, Tetanus) Annual TB testing Healthcare training.

If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
