Job summary

Veolia North America in Canada is seeking a Sorter (MRF) to operate the Materials Recovery Facility safely and efficiently. You will sort products on a moving conveyor, help maintain quality and productivity, and support housekeeping and training of crew.

The role requires working 8-hour day or evening shifts, with potential weekend overtime, and compliance with COR standards. Clean environment, safety gear, and the ability to lift up to 49 pounds are expected as part of the job.

Qualifications

• No prior sorting experience required, but preferred.
• Ability to work at a moving conveyor line while meeting target expectations.
• Able to follow safety policies and use PPE.
• Effective English communication and teamwork.
• Ability to work 8-hour shifts, day or evening, with transportation.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned work station safely and efficiently to meet KPIs and targets.
• Sort materials on moving conveyor to meet quality and productivity goals.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and comply with environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Train and assist crew members as required.
• Report production shortfalls and support productivity improvements.
• Conduct maintenance checks on equipment.
