Job description

Anthropont Talent Solutions is hiring a Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) Field Technician for an active drilling program with one of our oilfield service clients. This is a contract-based, field-deployed role supporting the assembly, maintenance, and field troubleshooting of MPD equipment in Western Canada. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical background, understands flow paths, and can follow complex hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble, test, and troubleshoot MPD components including valves, manifolds, chokes, and choke actuators.

• Assist in the rig-up and deployment of MPD systems at the wellsite.

• Maintain MPD equipment and ensure field-readiness at all times.

• Conduct routine site checks on deployed systems, communicate with Company Representatives, and manage field documentation (including ticketing and reporting).

• Understand MPD flow paths and correctly install equipment according to P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagram) specifications.

• Inspect and troubleshoot both pneumatic and hydraulic control systems associated with MPD operations.
