Job summary

Adler Moving based in Sault Ste. Marie, ON invites applications for the position of Moving van driver. The role is permanent, full-time with day, weekend, overtime and morning shifts, and starts as soon as possible.

The ideal candidate will hold AZ and DZ licenses, be fluent in English, and capable of loading/unloading cargo, performing pre-trip to post-trip inspections. You will drive straight or articulated trucks, communicate with central dispatch, and maintain professional customer service.

Qualifications

• Fluent English required.
• No standard education requirements (no bachelor’s degree, certificate, or diploma).
• Experience: at least 1 to <7 months in related industry.
• AZ and DZ driver licenses required.
• Lift more than 45 kg (100 lbs).
• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.

Type of Trucking and Equipment

• The type of trucking and equipment is straight truck (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles).

Transportation/travel experience

• The candidate must be well-versed in the local areas.
• The candidate should have prior experience running short-distance trips.

Security and safety

• The candidate must have a basic security clearance.
• The candidate must be bondable.
• The candidate should undergo a thorough criminal background check and driving record check (abstract).

Work conditions and physical capabilities

• The candidate should have an eye for details.
• The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.
