Job Description
Mot tester, Technician needed to join our friendly and valued team.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
5.5 days a week.
Monday to Friday 8 am to 6 pm
Saturday from 8 am to 1 pm.
Salary: Starting at £(phone number removed) to £(phone number removed) annually, depending on experience and work ethics salary will be discussed. Employee Assistance Programme, company pension, discounts on own vehicles needs. 20 days holiday plus all bank holidays. Some flexibility for personal appointments.

As an MOT Tester/Technician, you will be essential in ensuring vehicle safety and compliance with regulations. Reporting to the Workshop Manager, your core skills in mechanical knowledge, hand tools, and power tools will be vital for conducting thorough inspections and repairs. The organization expects you to maintain high standards of workmanship and contribute to a safe and efficient workshop environment, ultimately enhancing customer satisfaction and trust in our services.

Responsibilities
  1. Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to ensure compliance with MOT standards.
  2. Utilize mechanical knowledge to diagnose and repair issues identified during testing.
  3. Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently for maintenance tasks.
  4. Perform lifting safely as needed to access vehicle components.
  5. Document findings and communicate results to workshop controller.
  6. Adhere to safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications
  1. Strong mechanical knowledge and experience in automotive diagnostics.
  2. Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools.
  3. Ability to perform some lifting safely as required.
  4. Attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
  5. Relevant certifications in MOT testing or automotive technology needed.
  6. Previous experience as a technician or MOT tester is needed.
