We are hiring a Mortgage Underwriter, Residential Underwriting!

Reporting to the Manager, Residential Underwriting, the Residential Mortgage Underwriter is responsible for rendering credit decisions on incoming applications within their authorized limits and with adherence to company and insurer policies and guidelines while focusing on service excellence. The Mortgage Underwriter applies due diligence when reviewing required documentation to ensure accuracy and to protect the Company from risk. They manage files from the time they are committed by the underwriter until all of the broker’s conditions are met on the commitment.

  • Reporting To: Manager, Residential Underwriting
  • Full-Time / Part-Time: Full-time

  • Hours of Work: 8:30 – 5:00

  • Prioritizes applications and workflow to maintain sound risk assessments while managing high volumes and focusing on service excellence
