Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Mortgage Underwriter located in Hamilton, ON. The Mortgage Underwriter will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating loan applications, determining creditworthiness, assessing risk, and ensuring compliance with lending guidelines.

Daily Tasks

• Review and quote mortgage applications
• Work with fulfillment officers to collect and satisfy outstanding conditions
• Analyze Loan-to-Value, cash flow, Purchase & Sale Agreements, appraisals
• Verify all mortgage documents (credit reports, income docs, NOAs, T4s, T1s, etc.)
• Coordinate smooth deal closing and maintain positive lender, client, and third-party relationships
