Responsibilities
  1. Cultivate, grow, and manage relationships with sources of client referrals and new requests to generate mortgage sales opportunities and increase BMO's market share in home financing.
  2. Actively identify sales opportunities and refer them to colleagues if applicable.
  3. Design and implement effective marketing and sales programs to boost organizational results.
  4. Maintain compliance with policies, operational guidelines, and legal and regulatory requirements.
  5. Proactively communicate with sources of client referrals and new requests, establishing local partnerships for mortgage financing consultations.
  6. Assist in implementing targeted marketing programs, promotions, and initiatives.
  7. Seek cross-selling and upselling opportunities to meet branch sales and profitability targets.
  8. Support the execution of strategic initiatives and participate in business planning.
  9. Build and enhance the bank's presence in the community through participation in trade shows, conferences, and related activities.
  10. Provide exceptional customer service, building trust through expertise and tailored support.
  11. Guide clients through mortgage applications and processing activities.
  12. Collaborate with branch teams for client transfers and to identify clients needing other banking products.
  13. Resolve or escalate issues to ensure client expectations are met and funds are disbursed timely.
  14. Stay informed about client needs, sector trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  15. Analyze data and provide insights and recommendations.
  16. Prepare reports and dashboards based on data analysis.
  17. Perform routine transactions and document updates in internal systems.
  18. Establish relationships with third parties to generate mortgage leads and requests.
  19. Execute transactions in compliance with guidelines to maintain operational integrity.
  20. Possibly specialize in a particular business sector or group.
  21. Think creatively and propose new solutions.
  22. Exercise judgment to identify and solve problems within set boundaries.
  23. Work independently with broader tasks as needed.
Qualifications
  1. Typically three to five years of relevant professional experience with post-secondary education in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. For roles requiring lending qualifications, possess appropriate credit qualifications and knowledge.
  3. Deep understanding of mortgage lending processes and regulatory requirements.
  4. Strong interpersonal, sales, customer service, and negotiation skills.
  5. Expertise in self-management, teamwork, personal loans, and relationship management.
  6. Functional knowledge of retail banking, investments, trust services, small business and corporate loans, and cash management.
  7. Extensive knowledge of the real estate sector and mortgage market.
  8. Excellent negotiation skills.
  9. Specialized skills acquired through education or work experience.
  10. Proficient communication skills, both oral and written.
  11. Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
  12. Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  13. Influence capability.

Salary: Commission-based compensation. Total compensation varies based on factors like location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
