Key Responsibilities
  1. Build and manage relationships with referral sources to develop a pipeline of mortgage business.
  2. Identify sales opportunities and refer clients to BMO colleagues as appropriate.
  3. Develop and implement marketing and sales programs to drive results.
  4. Participate in community events to enhance BMO’s presence.
  5. Guide customers through mortgage applications and processing activities.
  6. Partner with branch teams to ensure smooth customer handoffs and proper documentation.
  7. Provide exceptional customer service and address client needs for banking products.
  8. Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
  9. Analyze data and generate reports to support business decisions.
  10. Maintain operational integrity by completing transactions in compliance with guidelines.
  11. Engage with referral networks to generate new mortgage opportunities.
  12. Exercise judgment in problem-solving within established rules.
  13. Work independently and support strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Typically 3-5 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree or equivalent.
  • Deep understanding of the mortgage lending process and regulatory environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, sales, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of personal banking, investments, and real estate industry.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
