What You’ll Be Doing
- Play a pivotal role in enhancing our customer portfolio through reactive engagement in inbound and outbound mortgage sales inquiries.
- Fulfill mortgage leads and create strong relationships with business partners and clients.
- Handle mortgage leads including purchase, refinance, ports, and early renewal negotiation.
- Ensure targets are achieved while maintaining client satisfaction.
You will be eligible to participate in CIBC’s GPS program (Goals, Performance, Success) and will receive a competitive base salary.
At CIBC, the work environment is optimized for you to thrive. You can perform all activities remotely and will be onsite on an occasional basis. We have an Agent@Home remote work program; all employees must meet the program requirements and be able to attend your primary work location within two hours’ notice for business purposes.
Agent @ Home Program Requirements
- Ability to work independently in a private, quiet workspace (a room or office with a door that closes).
- Wired Internet connection capable of consistently supporting excellent call quality and high-speed response (minimum 15 Mbps download, 10 Mbps upload). Hardwired connection preferred; satellite internet is not allowed due to call quality concerns.
The start date is November 3, 2025. Our Contact Centre is open Monday to Friday, 8am to 9pm EST, and Saturday 9am–5pm EST. This is a full-time, shift-oriented role requiring flexibility across these hours.
How You\'ll Succeed
- Client Service – Answer client questions and issues per department objectives; follow up on leads and ensure proper documentation and mortgage verifications are completed.
- Subject Matter Expert – Stay updated on new products, policies, procedures, and competition to fulfill client needs and explain mortgage conditions and documents.
- Relationship Building – Work closely with underwriters and advancing partners to ensure mortgage is approved and funded.
- Performance – Achieve sales targets across all parameters of the business plan.
Who You Are
- Experience in the residential mortgage business with knowledge of market conditions, trends, product knowledge, and pricing issues; mortgage underwriting experience is an asset.
- Client-focused with the ability to engage with purpose to find the right solutions and willingness to go the extra mile.
- Curious and eager to learn, with a passion for growing knowledge.
