Job summary

BMO in Canada is seeking a Mortgage Specialist to help customers turn home ownership dreams into reality. You will receive industry-leading training and build a referral network to generate mortgage originations while delivering exceptional service.

You will identify sales opportunities, execute targeted marketing, and work with branch teams to smoothly guide applicants through documentation and approvals, all within regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Typically between 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in banking or mortgage sales.
• In-depth understanding of the mortgage lending process and regulatory requirements.
• Strong interpersonal, sales, customer service, and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of personal banking, investments, real estate market is a plus.
• Self-management, teamwork, and ability to work with cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

• Cultivates and manages relationships with a referral network to build mortgage originations.
• Identifies sales opportunities and refers to colleagues as appropriate.
• Develops and executes marketing and sales programs to drive business results.
• Guides customers through mortgage application and processing activities.
• Partners with branch teams to hand off customers and finalize mortgage documentation.
• Maintains compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Analyzes data to provide insights and reports; supports strategic initiatives.
