Qualifications

We are a mid-sized litigation and real estate law firm in Toronto, specializing in secured financing transactions and mortgage enforcement.

We are looking for clerks and paralegals with at least 5+ years of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on mortgage enforcement specific experience.

Responsibilities:

- Assist in preparing legal documents such as statements of claim, notices of sale, and various motion materials.

- Organize and maintain files and documents related to mortgage enforcement actions

- Prepare and distribute correspondence, memos, and other legal documents

- Correspond directly with clients and various parties with updates and progress of files

Skills:

- Experience with Court processes and procedures in Ontario

- Strong project management skills to effectively handle multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines

- Exceptional writing skills to draft legal documents with accuracy and clarity

- Proficiency in Microsoft Works or similar document management software for efficient file organization

- Familiarity with phone etiquette to handle incoming calls professionally and direct them appropriately

- Excellent organizational skills to maintain files, track deadlines, and manage schedules
