Recruitment Consultant at Winchesters | Finance & Accounting

Downtown Toronto, ON (3 days in office)

Our client, an established financial services company is looking for a Renewals Analyst to join our Commercial Mortgages team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing the timely and accurate processing of mortgage renewals and assumptions in accordance with internal policies and procedures. You will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our loan files and ensuring data accuracy across systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process maturing loans for renewal and assumption in a timely, policy-compliant manner.
  • Review underwriting binders and commitment letters before submitting transactions for credit approval.
  • Coordinate with solicitors, insurance consultants, investors, and internal teams to ensure all documentation requirements are met.
  • Accurately enter and update mortgage details in the loan system, including detailed and clear documentation notes.
  • Maintain up-to-date digital files for every transaction to ensure seamless file coverage and data integrity.
  • Save and label renewal and assumption documents using standardized naming conventions for transfer to servicing.
  • Assist in maintaining reports for senior management, investors, and stakeholders.
  • Review extension period loan reports to confirm payment arrangements and M2M processing.
  • Communicate policy and procedure updates to management for integration into the team’s Procedures Manual.
  • Provide coverage and support during team member absences.
  • Support ad hoc projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual fluency in English and French is required.
  • Post-secondary education.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the mortgage or financial services industry.
  • Familiarity with Quebec commercial mortgage legal documentation is a strong asset.
  • Experience with the Optimus loan system is an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Understanding of mortgage security documentation and related regulatory requirements, including AML and down payment verification.
  • Previous experience processing renewals, assumptions, or new mortgage transactions is an asset.
  • Comfortable working in a paperless, digital office environment.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong written communication skills in English.
