An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Purchasing Specialist to join their dynamic team. Qualifications

Job description

For a Program (or a Program family), of bought-parts—Build-to-Print & Build-to-Spec, System & Equipment parts & services (ref. design-drawings and/or specifications, as well as Program related Non-Recurring Costs (NRC) / investments):

Responsibilities
  1. Represent as the focal & interface for the Purchasing process within the Integrated Program Team (IPT).
  2. Ensure clear communication and respect of Program (IPT) & Production strategies within the global Purchasing team.
  3. Liaise, communicate & coordinate with the Purchasing Site Leader (PSL) & Commodity Buyer teams.
  4. Manage & ensure the Purchasing process aligns with AS-9100, APQP, SAFRAN Group rules, including APQP & DVI PPAP.
  5. Prepare Program Purchasing documentation such as the Program Purchasing Plan (PPP), Work Package Agreement, Purchasing Roadmap, and Program Overview.
  6. Lead the estimation process (RC & NRC) to track Purchasing cost evolution from bid to certification.
  7. Ensure contractual requirements are flowed down from customers to the Commodity Purchasing team.
  8. Communicate the impact of SAFRAN Landing Systems (SLS) technical, contractual, and logistical requirements to the IPT.
  9. Complete all Purchasing actions timely to support the Program schedule.
  10. Identify and manage Purchasing risks according to SAFRAN Group procedures, escalating issues as needed.
  11. Monitor key topics, inform relevant functions, and dedicate efforts to resolve hot topics.
  12. Inform Commodity Buyers of customer changes/modifications & constraints.
  13. Participate in Make or Buy decisions.
  14. Coordinate with Implementation Specialists for industrialization support.
  15. Update the Purchasing Program Dashboard and other reports.
  16. Understand Customer Services Spares Parts requirements and include them in negotiations.
  17. Ensure compliance with export control and offset obligations.
  18. For Build-to-Spec products, lead activities with Suppliers to meet milestones up to certification.
Job Requirements
  • University or College Degree/Diploma in Business and/or Engineering.
  • Technical appreciation of landing gear and manufacturing processes.
  • Business skills, analytical mindset, and rigor.
  • At least 3 years of Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Engineering experience, preferably in Aerospace.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to simplify complex subjects.
  • Fluent in English; French is an asset.
  • Experience in Project Management or transversal management.
  • Ability to analyze and formalize customer requirements.
  • Understanding of technical environment and customer expectations.
  • Experience in managing supplier relationships.
  • Organized, rigorous, results-oriented, with strong conviction and relationship-building skills.
