Role Description This full-time Mortgage Agent role is a hybrid position based in Mississauga, ON, with the flexibility to work from home for part of the schedule. The Mortgage Agent will consult with clients to understand their financial goals, assess mortgage needs, and recommend suitable lending products. Responsibilities include completing and submitting mortgage applications, gathering and verifying documentation, and coordinating with lenders and internal teams throughout the approval process. The role involves nurturing client relationships, following up on leads provided by the brokerage, and proactively generating new business through networking and outreach. The Mortgage Agent will also stay current on mortgage regulations, lending guidelines, and market trends to provide accurate, compliant advice.
Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of the Mortgage Industry and Mortgages, with the ability to explain products and processes clearly to clients.
• Experience in Mortgage Lending and Mortgage Servicing, including application processing, documentation review, and coordination with lenders.
• Understanding of Mortgage Marketing, with skills in prospecting, lead follow-up, and client relationship management.
• Valid mortgage agent or broker license in Ontario, or eligibility to obtain licensing as required by provincial regulations.
• Proven client-facing skills, including active listening, financial needs assessment, and professional communication.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to regulatory compliance and ethical practices.
• Ability to manage multiple files, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfort with digital tools and CRM systems; proficiency in standard office software.
• Previous experience in financial services, banking, or real estate is an asset.
