Location Address: Hybrid – in office 3 days
Candidate can choose to work at one of two locations:
• 500 King Street North, Waterloo, Ontario
• 2727 Joseph Howe Drive, Halifax, Nova Scotia, B3L 4G6
Contract Duration: 1 year from start date
Target start date: June 2nd
Possibility of extension & conversion to FTE: possibility of projected being extended or hired permanently
Schedule Hours:
• Waterloo location: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM EST
• Halifax location: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM AST
The opportunity
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Mortgage Administrator specializing in Manual Mortgage Documentation to join our dynamic team. The primary responsibility of this role is to review all mortgage-related documents required for a residential mortgage to ensure documents received are in good order and in accordance with the Bank’s Residential Mortgage Underwriting Policies and Standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately preparing mortgage documents under tight deadlines, ensuring all information is precise and compliant with regulatory standards. This role requires effective communication and collaboration with our underwriting and sales teams to facilitate a smooth mortgage process for our clients
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1. 3+ years previous experience in mortgage administration or a similar role.
2. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
4. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
5. Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for document preparation and management.
6. General Knowledeg of the Bank’s mortgage products, underwriting of a mortgage, credit policies, and compliance regulations to ensure all residential mortgages are set up in accordance with the policies and the bank’s interest in the property is protected.
Nice-To-Have Skills:

• Bachelor's degree is not required, looking for someone with the right experience
