Job summary

Purolator Inc. in Red Deer, AB, is seeking a Part-time AM Sorter to help sort and separate freight by destination, weight, size and shape to meet client delivery schedules. This 20-hour-per-week role runs Monday to Friday with a 05:45–09:45 shift.

The position requires the ability to lift up to 70 lbs, strong teamwork, and a focus on safety and accuracy. A criminal record check and police clearance may be required during pre-screening.

• Attention to process and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Unload freight from trucks onto the conveyor and from conveyor into trucks.
• Unload freight off conveyor or chute for load-out.
• Load freight into linehaul cube trucks or trailers.
• Preload mail and packages into curbside delivery vehicles.
• Manually transfer bulk or non-conveyable items.
• Scan all shipped or received mail or packages to identify mis-sorted items.
