Job summary

Canadian Rocky Mountain Resorts in Canmore seeks a Montessori Toddler Lead Teacher (ECE) to guide toddlers through early language, movement and independence in a Montessori-inspired setting. You will ensure active supervision, safe environment, document development using the centre’s systems, collaborate with the Director, and support families with nurturing, consistent care every day.

Qualifications

• ECE credential or equivalent required.
• Montessori-inspired teaching approach.
• Experience with toddlers preferred.
• Ability to document development using centre systems (Lillio).

Responsibilities

• Follow Alberta licensing requirements and safety procedures.
• Provide warm, attuned, relationship-based care.
• Lead classroom program planning with Director.
• Offer Montessori-inspired lessons fostering exploration and movement.
• Support development through responsive caregiving and emotional regulation.
• Follow individual routines for feeding, sleep, toileting, and daily activities.
• Observe and document development; maintain records using Lillio.
• Communicate with families and be the primary classroom contact.
• Model conflict resolution and support a positive team environment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, sanitary environment; respond to illness/incidents.
• Assist daily routines and transitions including outdoor time and meals.
• Support enrolment, open houses, and classroom setup.
