Job summary

Silver Ridge Montessori in Surrey, BC is seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Educator for a full-time role. The position runs 7:30am–3:00pm with $30.00/hour. Join a warm Montessori learning environment focused on independence, confidence, curiosity and a love of learning.

We require BC ECE certification, Montessori diploma, AMI/MACTE Montessori training, current First Aid/CPR, and a clear criminal record. Montessori classroom experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a caring, safe, and nurturing atmosphere within the classroom and throughout the school.
  • Prepare and maintain an organized Montessori learning environment.
  • Plan and present developmentally appropriate Montessori lessons and activities.
  • Observe each child’s interests, development, and individual learning needs.
  • Maintain accurate records, including observations, lesson plans, and student progress.
  • Guide children’s behaviour respectfully and positively in accordance with Montessori principles.
  • Encourage independence, confidence, responsibility, and respect for others.
  • Communicate professionally with parents, colleagues, and school administration.
  • Participate in parent-teacher conferences and prepare written progress reports when required.
  • Follow all Silver Ridge Montessori policies and provincial childcare licensing requirements.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a supportive and dedicated teaching team.
