Our client, a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto, is looking for a MongoDB Developer to quickly analyze available data and identify the root cause of issues during production. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.

Typical Day in Role:

• Suggest improvements to supported applications and systems as needed
• Translate ideas into technical and business realities, and map technology to business problems
• Understand software quality assurance principles
• Drive teams towards high performance with pride in quality craftsmanship that delights users

Must-Have Skills:

• Experience with MongoDB and Microsoft SQL Server
• 8+ years of software development supporting large-scale customer-facing platforms
• 8+ years of building public and internal REST APIs
• 4+ years as a Java developer, preferably with Java 8/Spring, and experience with system integration standards
• Strong experience with APM tools like Dynatrace, Splunk (recent projects preferred)

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Bitbucket, LaunchDarkly (recent projects preferred)
• Digital banking or FI experience is a plus
• Knowledge of Agile principles and adaptability to evolving environments

• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Ability to simplify technical details and influence stakeholders
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
