Job description

Job Purpose

The Clinical Resource Pharmacist is responsible for providing leadership to ensure the safe use and effective management of medications for a specific clinical program.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
  • Registered or eligible for licensure with the New Brunswick College of Pharmacists and licensed to practice in New Brunswick.
  • Completion of an advanced clinical pharmacy practice program or degree or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
  • Ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Good work record.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing advanced clinical services.
  • Taking a leadership role regarding drug use and clinical practice.
  • Leading and participating in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives, projects, and research activities.
  • Providing mentoring, training, and education.
  • Acting as a preceptor.
  • Developing, implementing, evaluating, and enhancing the pharmacy service, education program, and research initiatives.
  • Establishing and implementing standards for staff performance and development.
  • Serving as site coordinator for the region residency program (if applicable).
