An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Mold Maker to enhance their production team. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing production molds, performing preventative maintenance, and assisting in modifications and repairs. Qualifications

  • Completion of Grade 12 diploma required; college diploma in a trade is an asset.

Job description

Our client, located in Concord Ontario, is looking for a Mold Maker to join their team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Service production molds including preventative maintenance, modifications, and repairs.
  2. Work with jigs, fixtures, general machining, and the manufacturing end of arm tooling.

Shifts: Days

Pay Rate: $25-37/hr based on level of experience

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Complete training matrix (Mould Maker Trainee).
  2. Under the guidance of a Senior Team member, the Mould Maker Trainee will learn to:
    1. Plan and organize efficient workflow for assigned tasks with input from Mould Maker Level 3.
    2. Lay out, machine, fit, assemble, and finish metal parts to make, modify, or repair molds according to tool design.
    3. Interpret part design into a three-dimensional solid object.
    4. Test, repair, and deliver molds, components, and tooling.
    5. Verify that customer specifications and company standards are met.
    6. Provide input for the non-conformance process and document all issues, nonconformances, or constraints that cause rework or tool delay.
    7. Travel internationally as required for training, benchmarking, or investigational purposes.
    8. Participate in and support Continuous Improvement and WCM initiatives.
    9. Adhere to applicable quality systems and support the company Management System (MAFACT, WCM, ISO-9001).
    10. Perform formal/informal workplace inspections.

EDUCATION or EXPERIENCE:

  1. Minimum completion of Grade 12 diploma.
  2. College diploma in a Trade or Technical Field, or equivalent experience, an asset.
  3. Able to obtain a Crane and Forklift license.

Experience:

  1. Experience in the automotive industry, preferably in an injection molding environment, an asset.
  2. Complete training matrix (Mould Maker Trainee).

Skills:

  1. Basic knowledge of mold making/build practices, standards, and expectations.
  2. Basic knowledge of NX and GSS software.
  3. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) and Outlook, an asset.
  4. Strong interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to prioritize tasks with good organizational and time management skills.
  6. Results-oriented and able to work under pressure.
  7. Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
