Caoutchoucs et Plastiques Falpaco Inc. in Granby is seeking a molding technician to oversee mold assembly and disassembly and to tune molding parameters so parts meet strict quality requirements.

You will organize and optimize production activities, prepare setups, monitor cycle times, maintain molds, and participate in mold design while upholding safety and quality at start and throughout production.

Qualifications

• Secondary education is required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in molding/production.
• Knowledge of plastics molding and quality control.

Responsabilités

• Oversee basic mold assembly and disassembly and adjust molding parameters.
• Organize and optimize production activities to ensure quality, equipment productivity, and labor efficiency.
• Prepare setups and maintain mold inventory and ensure proper identification of last molded part (complete shot).
• Ensure staff safety and participate in mold design and maintenance.

Duties

The incumbent oversees the assembly and disassembly of the mold and adjusts the molding parameters so that the manufactured products meet quality requirements. They organize, control, and optimize the production activities of their unit to ensure product quality, equipment productivity, and labor productivity. Prepare setups; Comply with indicators (required cycle time); Ensure that the molds to be repaired are inventoried at the end of each production run; have a complete sample of the last molded part (\"complete shot\") and properly identified; Ensure product quality before starting production. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Responsible for basic preventive maintenance of machines; Responsible for SMED (internal and external setup); Ensure staff safety; Participate in mold design; Participate in certain machinery shows. Responsible for quality assurance (inspection) based on quality criteria: implement and monitor quality assurance procedures; verify (inspect) quality at the start and during production.
