Job summary

StackTeck in Brampton, Canada seeks a Junior Assembler to unpack, disassemble and clean injection mold tools used in packaging applications. You will learn basic operations from experienced mold makers and assemblers while contributing to efficient production.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; knowledge of plastic injection molds is preferred.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with hand and power tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to precision work.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Uncrate and extract molds from their packaging.
  • Disassemble and clean molds to evaluate necessary repairs.
  • Troubleshoot components and document required repairs.
  • Clean mold/components and prepare them for the next stage of manufacturing.
  • Utilize measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Use hand and power tools to complete assembly and disassembly functions.
  • Read, interpret, and follow diagrams and drawings to assemble components.
  • Perform general housekeeping in the work area and shop floor.
  • Assist senior mold makers with mold adjustments and repairs.
  • Follow all safety policies including proper PPE usage.
  • Take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others.
