Job summary

Fero International Inc in Hamilton, Ontario, is hiring a Production Scheduler to develop and optimize detailed production schedules for modular building projects using MS Project.

You will align engineering, procurement, and production activities to ensure on-time delivery and efficient plant utilization while collaborating across departments in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in production scheduling, planning, or coordination within construction or manufacturing.
• Proven proficiency in MS Project including critical path analysis and resource loading.
• Engineering/Construction management diploma or related degree; MS Project training is an asset.
• Strong understanding of modular construction processes and plant operations.
• Ability to read construction drawings and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules in MS Project for modular construction projects.
• Coordinate activities to align with material availability, labor capacity, and project priorities.
• Monitor labor resources against tasks using performance indicators and track schedule adherence.
• Analyze discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to improve productivity.
• Update schedules regularly reflecting progress, changes and unforeseen impacts.
• Generate and distribute schedule reports and dashboards to stakeholders.
• Participate in meetings providing scheduling insights and recommendations.
• Ensure scheduling activities comply with company policies and safety standards.
