Position: Mobile Transport Trailer Technician - Licensed RED Seal / Journeymen

Reporting To: Branch Manager

Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba

Department: Service

As a Licensed Mobile Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on trailers and equipment on-site. This includes working on various equipment types such as Dry Vans, Reefers, Heaters, Flat Beds, Chassis, specialized equipment haulers, livestock haulers, tankers, and company-owned service vehicles.

Responsibilities:

• Travel to customer locations to perform preventative and scheduled maintenance.
• Conduct thorough inspections of trailers to identify maintenance or repair needs.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including lubricating parts, replacing worn components, and adjusting brakes and suspension systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot trailer issues using diagnostic tools and techniques.
• Repair or replace damaged trailer parts, including electrical systems, tires, brakes, lights, couplers, and axles.
• Perform welding, fabrication, and bodywork repairs as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed, parts used, and labor hours.

Qualifications:

• 310J/310T Technician Certification or Journeyman/Red Seal Trailer Technician
• Proven experience as a Trailer Service Technician or similar role
• Knowledge of trailer systems, including electrical, suspension, braking, and structural components
• Experience in fabrication, welding, and/or tailgate repairs (asset)
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to safely lift up to 85 pounds
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
