Job Description

Fortinet is looking for Mobile Software QAs to join the FortiClient QA Team. FortiClient is an endpoint security product for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, Android OS, and Apple iOS.

As a Mobile Software QA, you will be working on testing FortiClient IOS and Android, which integrates with various Fortinet products including FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager, FortiSandbox, and FortiGuard Distribution Network (FDN). These positions offer experience working with these technologies. The role involves daily challenges related to new technologies and ideas in the computer and networking industry that require monitoring and protection.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Perform manual or automated testing of FortiClient IOS and Android.
2. Set up and maintain various test systems involving multiple network components, using physical or virtual machines (VM).
3. Run and review results of regression test systems.
4. Create test reports in internal tracking systems.
5. Monitor and handle customer responses and issues.
6. Continuously review and report industry best practices.
7. Work with other Fortinet products: FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager, FortiSandbox, etc.
8. Collaborate with developers, team leads, and other QA specialists.

Job Skills Required:

1. At least 2 years of related work experience.
2. Experience with Mobile OS (iOS and Android).
3. Experience with Linux, Windows, or Mac OS X.
4. Good to have experience in mobile app automation (XCTest for iOS, UI Automator for Android, or cross-platform tools like Appium).
5. Good to have experience in backend automation testing using scripting languages (e.g., Python).
6. Knowledge of databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.).
7. Knowledge of antivirus, ransomware, exploits, etc.
8. Understanding of HTTPS, SSL, TLS protocols.
9. Familiarity with QA processes, creating and executing test cases, setting up test environments, reproducing issues, and bug reporting.

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar disciplines.

The salary range in Canada for this full-time role is estimated between $60,000 and $80,000 annually, based on various factors including experience and qualifications.
