Starting pay: $37.44 to start plus shift premium based on 310T Red seal and experience

Responsibilities

• Completes necessary repair and preventive maintenance work.
• Checks safety equipment on truck and/or trailers.
• Inspects trucks and/or equipment for condition, operation, parts, and fluid levels.
• Identifies and designates problems.
• Performs adjustments to various systems during preventive maintenance service.
• Makes emergency roadside repairs; at times after-hours; carries, monitors, and answers company issued cellphone for after hour service calls.
• Writes service reports that accurately document activities and parts used from truck inventory.
• Performs assigned tasks in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner.
• Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
• Respectfully takes direction from supervisor/manager.
• Performs PM’s and inspections.
• Maintains a safe working environment and observes all safety procedures, laws, policies, and rules.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Certified Technician either 310T/310J being an active member in good standing with Skilled Trades Ontario.
• CVIP Certification is an asset.
• Two years verifiable mechanic experience.
• Operation of hand and air tools.
• Ability to do mobile mechanical repairs in a timely manner.
