At the Department of Public Works, we are responsible for building and maintaining a sustainable provincial infrastructure for Nova Scotians, including highways, bridges, government buildings, and vehicle registration. We support 23,000 km of roads, 4,100 bridges, and 9 provincial ferries.
As a Mobile Service Mechanic, you will work on equipment that maintains roads and highways, including Utility Tractors, Rubber Tire Loaders, Graders, Tandem Trucks, and attachments like wings, plows, and sweepers.

Work environment includes noise, fumes, and adverse weather; involves standing, lifting, and carrying.
Position in Tatamagouche, Zone 15, covering multiple zones. Normal hours are 8am-4:30pm, with on-call duties outside regular hours. This is a 52-week, full-time, year-round position.
Pay Grade: MBS MECH
Salary Range: $32.61 hourly
