Job summary

Scarlet Security & Risk Group (SSRG) is seeking security personnel to join the Mobile Security Team in Burnaby. The role focuses on high-visibility patrols, safeguarding personnel and the public, and responding to incidents across client sites.

Applicants should hold a BC Security Licence and a Class 4 or 5 Driver's Licence with a clean abstract, with a background in security or customer service. Training and progression opportunities are offered.

• Strong knowledge of road safety.
• Relevant security experience.

Responsibilities

• High-visibility patrol of assigned areas, on foot and in company vehicles.
• Ensure the security of all personnel, visitors, and the general public.
• Respond to theft, trespassing, vandalism, and fire.
• Monitor property access control.
• Investigate and report suspicious behaviour, incidents, and security breaches.
• Enforce client-informed policies.
• Communicate with law enforcement, EMS, and fire departments.
• Respond to and investigate alarms, ensuring properties are secure before departure.

We are looking for security personnel who are professional, committed and have experience in security.

Responsibilities

• High-visibility patrol of assigned areas, on foot and in company vehicles
• Ensure the security of all personnel, visitors, and the general public
• Respond against theft, trespassing, vandalism, and fire
• Monitor property access control
• Investigate and report suspicious behaviour, incidents, and security breaches
• Enforce client-informed policies
• Communicate with law enforcement, emergency medical personnel, and fire departments
• Respond to and investigate alarms, ensuring properties are secure and in order before departing

Shift Details

• Full-time: Must be able to work 32 to 40 hours per week
• Shifts: Night shifts (8-hour or 12-hour)
• Mobile patrol team works out of the main operations office in BURNABY, which is accessible by transit
• Parking provided at Head Office for successful candidates

Qualifications

• Hold a valid BC Security Licence
• Have a valid Class 4 or 5 Driver's Licence, with a clean driver's abstract (NO previous suspensions and/or prohibitions)
• Strong knowledge of road safety
• Relevant security experience
• Relevant experience in the security or customer service industry
• Excellent customer service & professional deportment
• High standard for safety & a passion for security
• Excellent documentation and communication skills
• Enjoy working as part of a team, but able to work independently without supervision
• Additional certifications are an asset: First Aid Certification, AST, etc.
• Applicants invited to an in-person interview will be required to provide a valid Class 4 or 5 Driver's Licence and an ICBC driver's abstract.
• Selected applicants may be required to complete a short online skills assessment as part of the recruitment process.

Please note that security officers may be required to work extended hours and be part of an on-call team for urgent scheduling needs.
