What you will do
As a Mobile Officer, you will provide support to the Mobile Field Supervisors (MFS) by assisting with the training of new officers, fleet maintenance, and offering valuable site information. You'll help supervise and guide Officers, support special coverages, and ensure efficient branch operations after hours. Additionally, you'll take charge of resolving any on-site issues, escalating only when necessary.
Procedure
The Mobile Officer's responsibilities are to patrol sites assigned to your run sheet, respond to alarm & emergency dispatches, and respond to officers requiring assistance.
Specific Duties
- The Mobile Officer shall ensure guidelines and standards are adhered to, including the inspection of officers' Security Licenses at other sites.
- All Mobile members are to follow the direction of the Mobile Field Supervisor, to be attired professionally and in a manner consistent with Paladin's policies on dress and deportment.
- The Mobile Officers are requested to carry out daily duties, which include checking emails and answering any pressing issues, discussing any events that may have happened with the previous shifts at shift-change with on-coming or off-going officers, ensuring daily paperwork has been completed.
- Incident reports, shift pass-ons, Shift Hazard Assessments, are to be completed, written properly by the end of your shift.
- Vacation requests must be taken in a timely fashion and allowed only if there are no scheduling conflicts that would incur overtime.
- Assist with minor fleet maintenance and repairs and notify any issues to the Mobile Field Supervisor or Manager.
- Assist with monthly audits and safety inspections without fail, maintain records, and prepare incident reports, and other safety and security incident documentation.
- Conduct site orientation and training of new officers, ensuring site orientation packages and officer review tests are completed within the allotted training period.
- There will also be unscheduled and scheduled meetings to attend, last-minute bookings for sick employees, and coverage of shifts if necessary.
- While on shift, the Mobile Officer will respond to all emergencies and take command of the situations as they pertain to the contract until a Paladin Supervisor or Manager can attend.
- Perform any and all other duties as required or assigned to them by the Mobile Field Supervisor and Manager.
You're a great fit if you
- Have an unrestricted Class 5 Driver's License, with a clean abstract.
- Possess strong knowledge of Kamloops and the surrounding areas.
- Are confident driving in a variety of road conditions.
- Represent Paladin with professionalism and strong customer service skills.
- Communicate effectively with clients, emergency personnel, and the public.
- Can multitask, work under pressure, and make sound decisions in emergencies.
Certification Requirements
Valid BC Security Licence, Valid Class 5 BC Drivers License.
