Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard - Mobile Patrol in Burnaby, BC for a prominent financial institution. This full-time opportunity offers varied shifts and opportunities for growth.

You will conduct mobile patrols, monitor CCTV and alarms, inspect doors and windows, and interact with clients and staff while enforcing security policies. A BC Security Guard license, First Aid/CPR, and a valid BC Class 5 license are required; candidates must be 25+ and legally eligible to work in Canada.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm monitoring
• Experience with report writing and note-taking
• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems
• Valid BC security guard license
• Must be eligible to work in Canada; 40 hours per week
• Must provide a clear driver’s abstract and BC Full Class 5 license
• First Aid and CPR
• Must be at least 25 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Conduct mobile patrols of designated areas, including parking lots, premises, and other high-traffic areas, to deter unauthorized activity and ensure the safety of personnel and property
• Monitor surveillance systems and alarms, promptly responding to any security breaches, disturbances, or suspicious activities
• Perform security checks of buildings, doors, windows, and other access points to prevent unauthorized entry and ensure compliance with security protocols
• Interact with clients, visitors, and employees, providing assistance, directions, and information as needed while enforcing security policies
• Report any security incidents, accidents, or hazards immediately to supervisors or appropriate authorities, documenting observations and actions taken
• Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and other security personnel to coordinate responses to incidents and emergencies effectively
• Maintain accurate logs and records of patrol activities, incidents, and observations, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Conduct routine inspections of security equipment, vehicles, and emergency supplies, reporting any issues or deficiencies for prompt resolution
• Conduct risk assessments and security audits of client premises, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending security enhancements to mitigate risks
• Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge of security procedures, emergency response protocols, and relevant regulation
