Job summary

Therapia is seeking a mobile Registered Occupational Therapist to provide in-home assessments and interventions for adults in Markham, ON. You will work independently within Therapia's network and backend systems to deliver high-quality care in patients' homes.

This role requires Ontario registration, a valid driver’s license, and comfort with flexible hours as an independent contractor. Prior home-care or community OT experience is an asset and you’ll join a forward-thinking health tech company

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO) and in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in hospital, clinic, community or home care settings.
• Ability to travel within your region and work independently.
• Strong communication, clinical reasoning, organizational, and time management skills.
• Professional liability insurance is recommended or required by some employers.
• Experience in community-based, home care, orthopedic, neurological, post-surgical, or geriatric OT is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive home occupational therapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Deliver functional interventions addressing self-care, mobility, transfers, and cognitive strategies.
• Assess home safety and accessibility, recommending modifications and equipment as needed.
• Educate clients and families on mobility safety, energy conservation, and ADLs/IADLs.
• Monitor progress and modify plans to meet changing needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation in line with regulatory standards and Therapia protocols.
• Collaborate with care team to support continuity and quality of care.
