A facilities management company in Ontario is seeking a proactive Maintenance Engineer. This role involves maintenance, inspection, and repair services across various systems, alongside completing scheduled and reactive maintenance tasks. Ideal candidates will have engineering qualifications and strong customer-facing skills, ensuring site compliance and effective communication within the team.
Main Purpose To work as an integral part of the facilities management team in the
Central Business Unit. (Central belt of Scotland)
We are looking for an individual who is proactive in approach, and who
will look to establish credibility with managers and employees from the
start of the employment contract.
Duties &
Responsibilities
The Engineer will be required to perform the following:
- provide maintenance, inspection and repair services to various
systems (within skill set)
- complete PPM and reactive maintenance to systems that are
assigned to the engineer
- complete small works, installation and refurbishment works
- maintain and manage the records for all systems that are worked
on including service reports and follow up remedial works
- liaise with supervisor providing updates and progress on workload
- ideally to provide the site with support on all aspects to ensure
full site compliance
- assist with general ad-hoc FM maintenance & unprogrammed
maintenance tasks where required.
- Is willing to work overtime to support the needs of the Business.
Skills & Knowledge - experience of PPM’s and reactive Maintenance
- experience of specific engineering qualifications
- building services knowledge, to have been exposed to all aspects
of building services including basic heating system knowledge
- highly articulate and presentable with excellent customer facing
skills
- IT literate and good record/data keeping skills
- proactive attitude and a strong desire to take ownership of the
site and contract
