Job description

CGC Inc. is currently recruiting a Mobile Equipment Operator (Supply Chain Warehouse) for our Wheatland facility, based in Wheatland County, Alberta.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Train in all operator positions within the department (e.g., Loader, Long Arm Excavator, Forklift) as skills develop.
  • Operate loader to transport materials safely and maintain consistent feed for quality production.
  • Monitor and control material flow during loading to prevent overloading or spillage.
  • Read grade plans and understand grade stakes when excavating.
  • Follow pulling, staging, and loading plans provided by supervisors or managers.
  • Assist with loading/unloading products from rail cars, trucks, and Production Departments.
  • Perform daily equipment servicing and inspections before and after operations.
  • Contribute to a safe and productive work environment.
  • Implement CGC/USG Model Programs, Safety Rules, VWIs/JSAs, and Standard Operating Procedures as required.
  • Accountable for updating LEAN metrics and supporting continuous improvement efforts by using Lean Six Sigma methods to make processes more efficient and reduce waste.
  • Adaptable to scheduling requirements, if needed, including shiftwork, overtime assignment, working weekends, and being able to be on-call as necessary, etc. where and when applicable with advanced notice.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a front-end loader or excavator operator is an asset.
  • Must be able to learn to operate a range of mobile equipment.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness for accurate material loading.
  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing setting and adhere to plant safety rules.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards within the work area.
  • Computer skills and data entry experience in Microsoft Office programs are an asset.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and cooperation in areas of safety, quality, and production/maintenance, understanding the importance of task completion.
  • Periodic travel may be required during the training period.

Additional Information:

Rate of Pay: $33.50/hour
