Mobile Educator – School Age Childcare
Part-Time | Split Shift | Guaranteed 25 Hours per Week
St. Thomas, Aylmer & Elgin County (Travel Across 10 Locations)
Love working with kids? Love variety? Love the idea of being the person who swoops in and keeps the day running smoothly?
YWCA St. Thomas-Elgin is looking for a caring, adaptable, and energetic Mobile Educator to support our School Age Childcare programs across the region. This is not a one-site position — every day may bring a new school, new group of children, and new opportunities to make a difference.
If you enjoy being part of a team, bringing creativity to play, and helping children feel safe, welcome, and excited to be in program, this role might be a perfect fit. Enjoy the stability of guaranteed weekly hours with the variety of supporting multiple programs.
Your Superpowers:
Flexibility: You can pivot from crafts to snack prep to outdoor games without missing a beat.
Creativity: You see a cardboard box and imagine a castle, spaceship, or puppet theatre.
Connection: You build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues quickly.
Calm under pressure: Rain, snow, or a last-minute site change? You’ve got it handled.
