Job summary

Highspring is seeking a senior mobile software engineer to design and deliver high-quality iOS/Android experiences using React Native and TypeScript. You will collaborate with product, design, and architecture teams to ship reliable features across North America.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of software development, strong React Native expertise, experience with RESTful and GraphQL APIs, testing, and CI/CD tooling. French proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience developing mobile applications with React Native and TypeScript.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• French language proficiency is required.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the definition and evolution of product, application, and technology roadmaps.
• Understand business needs and participate in technical requirements gathering and solution design.
• Develop high-quality, maintainable, and scalable mobile application features and services.
• Promote engineering best practices, including Clean Code, SOLID principles, and TDD/BDD methodologies.
• Evaluate technical options and clearly communicate architectural and implementation trade-offs.
• Collaborate with architects and designers to improve application performance, reliability, availability, and security.
• Participate actively in peer code reviews and knowledge-sharing activities.
• Design, implement, execute, and maintain unit, integration, functional, and end-to-end tests.
• Contribute to the automation of testing and quality assurance processes.
• Partner with product and UX teams to deliver engaging and intuitive user experiences.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and provide constructive technical feedback.
• Support the investigation and resolution of production incidents.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and contribute to continuous process improvement.
• Effectively manage priorities and balance competing initiatives.

What You Bring to the Table

• Experience with source control, CI/CD pipelines, and development tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, AppCenter, and npm.
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies and best practices.
